FIRSTRUST BANK
A Case Study: How a Spec Project Became a Multi-Year Video Testimonial Series for Firstrust Bank
Philadelphia’s Hometown Bank for more than 90 years, Firstrust Bank prides itself on building great relationships. That’s something we felt firsthand at 20/20. Before they became a client of ours, we were a happy customer of theirs. We wanted to show our gratitude by creating a testimonial that spoke to our own great experience.
Our friends at Firstrust loved our spec project so much, they launched a 10+ testimonial series highlighting what they call their “Power In Partnership”.
The Goal
Our engagement with Firstrust Bank began with a spec project.
We were so happy with our own customer experience, we created a 90-second testimonial talking about the difference Firstrust made for us as a small business.
Firstrust loved the spec so much, they decided to have us create a series of authentic success stories that would speak to their high-value prospects - the greater Philadelphia business community.
The Approach
We worked with the Firstrust marketing team to identify partners who have benefitted from different products the bank offers, like checking and savings, equipment financing, lines of credit and more. That allowed us to collect a variety of authentic testimonials from both small and big businesses, including College Ave, Acme Corrugated Box Company, Bark U, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Whether big or small, the focus for us was capturing real stories of real business impact - including Firstrust’s dedication to building lasting relationships and helping businesses create prosperity.
The Results
After a successful first year, the “Power In Partnership” campaign is renewed for 2026 and will feature six new business relationships across new industries.
The videos live on a dedicated business banking landing page and better position Firstrust to compete for new business clients.
They’ve been part of a robust marketing campaign across a variety of channels including LinkedIn ads, the Philadelphia Business Journal, and American Community Journals.
A compilation video that features clips from the first six testimonials is being developed into a 30-second TV spot.
