20/20 Visual Media Summer Internship Program Sets Students Up for Success

Over the last ten years, we’ve had the unique privilege to mentor and coach dozens of talented young professionals through our internship program. Our post-production, marketing, and production internships offer local college students with hands-on and in-person learning experiences within a best-in-class video production company.

At 20/20 Visual Media, we care about our intern’s growth and development. We will tailor your internship experience to meet your hopes, setting you up for success within the internship and in your career. This is in no way your "fetch coffee and file papers" type of internship. You are hands-on from day one.

In the first few weeks of this 2023 Summer internship, our current interns Bridget and Riley have already been able experience quite a bit:

20/20 Visual Media Summer Internship

Bridget McHugh - Post Production Intern

I was able to jump right into all the work I've been practicing for years, but this time is for real. Post production can be an isolating process, but here at 20/20 it's anything but that. Working in a collaborative environment is new and motivating, everything I was looking for.

Everyday is a new lesson and a new adventure. Learning more efficient and effective ways to do something I've been doing for years is exciting and thrilling.

Riley Flanagan - Marketing/Production Intern

Within my first few weeks at 20/20 Visual Media, I feel like I have been able to see every step of the process from marketing and client relations to what goes on behind the scenes to create a live set or pre-recorded video shoot.

I can not wait to learn throughout these next few months at 20/20 Visual Media.

Meet a few of our previous interns who reflect on their time with 20/20 Visual Media and share how their time with us impacted their careers.

What advice would you share with an incoming intern?

Ankit Patel: Work hard, be willing to grow, stay curious and offer help to the team if you don’t have a lot going on. You’ll get so much out of this experience and you’ll have a lot of fun too.

What did you learn from your 20/20 Visual Media internship?

Carli Showmaker: One of the most important lessons I learned during my time with 20/20 Visual Media is the importance of small details. Rob and Patrick have a special eye for catching details, both when shooting and during the post-production process, that many people wouldn't even notice. Not only do they hold themselves to these high standards, they hold their interns to the same standards, which constantly pushed us to produce top-notch work.

How did 20/20 Visual Media prepare you for your career?

Asad Bokhari: This internship added depth to my dream of being a creative professional. I could not have landed in better hands. The real intangible of this internship is that you have a team of people with years of experience taking personal pride in your growth as a young professional. They not only became friends, but mentors. I learned so much from them and I was really thrilled by how much they were willing to work with me and teach me the tricks of the trade. They didn't treat me like an intern, but rather as one of them. This fostered an environment where I wasn't afraid to ask any questions.
