Little League® Video Wins Big at Emmy Awards

Little League® International has earned its first-ever Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award, for a video our team produced in 2022. Our feature titled: Josiah Porter Proves Anything is Possible won in the Category Sports - Short Form Content (Single Story) during the annual NATAS Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards held in October.

In the video below, we tell the story of Josiah Porter, a player who lost vision in one eye after an accident when he was six years old. After multiple surgeries and a long rehabilitation period, Josiah found his way back to the Little League field representing the Southeast Region in the 2022 Little League Baseball® World Series. He and his teammates turned tragedy into triumph, advancing to the United States Championship.

Video Wins Big at Emmy Awards

Our team is very honored to have received such high praise from the television and media community with this Emmy Award win. This feature could not have been produced without a complete team effort by our experienced video production crew on-site for the World Series in Williamsport, PA. We have been telling Little League’s inspirational stories since 2016 and this award is a testament to the strong partnership our organizations have built over the years.

We look forward to telling more people-focused stories that represent the organization’s mission of building stronger individuals and communities through youth baseball and softball.
